I like this track. There are some fast sections, but there are plenty of corners where we will all have to use the brakes. Plus there is plenty of lighting for a night race here. If we get a good turnout in all three classes, this could be interesting, because passing at any of these slow corners is too risky to attempt.

I hate to miss this race, but it's my wife's birthday party. I might log on and spectate every once in a while if that's cool. Have fun guys.

Eric said there are places we have to use the brakes. What brakes?

Sean, give it up. The NSX brakes crappy, so what? It was good enough to qualify #2 in GT.
You just need more seat time man, you'd only done like 15 laps in the car before Saturday and none on that setup. The car is nice through corners, but lacking a little on the straights to the other cars, as you found. Use the corner exit speed to your advantage and you'll be as fast as usual.

This is going to be another night race, yes? With all the trouble people have with headlights dropping frames I'm wondering if it's ok to run this race with no lights. Singapore is very well lit so it may help if you don't use lights unless you absolutely have to. It's a very strange thing though, lights in GTR2 can sometimes cause darker spots to show. I've had this happen in my league GTR2 install but my offline GTR2 doesn't have that problem. Wonder what I did to fix it. Can't remember.

you're right, this might as well be a daytime race with as well lit as it is. Asking headlights to be turned off for this one. We did have better results here in testing with framerates for those that were on the border line. Bernie turned down headlights on the F1 cars (yet wants shortcuts on tracks ...we'll never figure him out) so they upped the lights around the track instead which doesnt hurt FPS much if at all.

Can anyone confirm that there is enough night time light around this track to attempt run it without lights? If you're going to run a night time race without headlights if there is good lighting to do so, what is the point of having a night time race anyway? May as well make it a day time race and call it a day.

I have no fps problems with this track at night. I had a few problems at Sebring, but as Matt has said, this track is lit up enough that it could be considered daytime.

I've turned my detail down to just about nothing, 8 cars visible and the stutter is just as bad as ever. Shows a constant 75 fps but still has the stutter. I am using vsync, could this be the problem?

I tried it without headlights and it's definitely working fine. No problems. Best was around 1:53.515 so you must be cruising Brian. After a few more laps, you should be into the 1:44 range. I'm using my setup from Sebring and that appears to be fine, but maybe I should change something in my setup for this track? Anyone want to take a look at my Motec and setup and offer suggestions?

more downforce then Sebring (unless you already went high) and slightly shorter gears would be a good start probably. Sean I'm still looking into the stutter thing
